We hand-pick all shafts for our competition arrows, matching them to within 2lbs of spine (+/- 1lb) and to within 15 grains (+/- 5gr) per set. We ensure that all competition shafts are free from blemishes and have the straightest possible grain with minimal run-off.
Front of centre balance point is then checked, and the shafts are cut to ensure that this is suitable for the shorter distances usually shot at field tournaments.
Fletching can be parabolic or shield, from 2.25″-5″, depending upon your shooting distance, and where possible, we will bring the weight for the set into a range between 9-13 grains/pound of pull (GPP) and we can often keep them to one end or the other of this range, depending on your preference.
Finished arrows are weatherproof, with either an oil or varnish finish. Cresting, numbering and naming can all be achieved at extra cost, just get in touch.
We have a huge range of points, from 70-150gr black steel field points, through brass, nickel and aluminium, as well as high penetration piles for 3D shoots. Unless requested, most points will be parallel flush fit and are included in the price. Costs may vary slightly for different piles, get in touch for a quotation.
